Bethenny Frankel considers baby wipes her most important parenthood accessory.

The television personality and writer told Parade:

"And I am loving using Bryn's baby wipes. They are at the top of my list of mommy must-haves. Baby wipes are great for everything!"

At some point all parents discover the joy of baby wipes. For me, it came after the gym one day when I was running late to meet a friend with the kids and I couldn't shower.  

Brad Pitt had recently revealed that he sometimes skipped showers and used baby wipes instead. I gave it a try and was amazed at how fresh I felt. Since then, I have continued to do that after the gym when it might be an hour before my shower.

But there are many uses for baby wipes beyond baby's bottoms. Here are 20:

A few months ago Jerry praised my work, but watching that first episode, I felt like the floor was falling out from underneath me. I wanted to crawl out of the room and hoped Jerry wouldn’t embarrass himself or be embarrassed by the show’s producers searching for the dramatic hook to captivate audiences. My inclusion on his top 10 list started feeling more like an anchor around my ankle than a life raft in the art world.

If only, child. If only. Though it's no surprise to me that "Jerry" liked his work AND liked Abdi's. But this guy isn't just an egoist, he's one of those class snobs too! On a friend with whom she watched several episodes:

It didn't take Allen B. Schwartz, design director for ABS, long to knock off the elegant Clinton wedding attire. He's planning to launch budget-friendly versions of Chelsea's Vera Wang gown as well as Hillary Clinton's Oscar de la Renta dress just in time for the holiday season.

"I'm sure those dresses are $20,000 to $30,000, and you can have an ABS-inspired dress for $300," Schwartz says tells ET. "Right now organza is the flavor of the month … It's very romantic and very expensive looking."

“The rhinestones were the real inspiration for me,” Schwartz told the Daily Beast. “A belted gown is the trend right now, and Chelsea was wearing it perfectly.”

Schwartz's knockoff bridal gown will also be made of organza and will include a rhinestone-embellished belt.

This isn't the first time Allen Schwartz has made budget versions of bridal dresses and hot celebrity fashions. He also knocked off Jennifer Aniston's wedding dress after she and Brad Pitt were married.

The wedding gown retailer David's Bridal is also getting in on the Chelsea-knockoff action -- although apparently in partnership with Vera Wang. They're showcasing these two Chelsea-reminiscent gowns: an Organza Tiered Ball Gown with Asymmetrical Ruffles ($850) and this Organza Ball Gown with Tiered Skirt and Ruching ($549).

Lionsgate announced it will release 'Tyler Perry's 'For Colored Girls' on Nov. 5 of this year instead of its original launch date during Martin Luther King weekend in 2011.

The move, which would put the film for year-end awards consideration, also continues Perry's streak of releasing at least one film per year since 2005.

"It's a serious film that really lends itself to the fall period. From talking with exhibitors, I know they're really excited to have another Tyler Perry film this year," said Lionsgate's executive vice-president and general sales manager David Spitz.

'Colored Girls,' is based on Ntozake Shange's award-winning 1975 play titled 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.' The story consists of a series of poems performed through a cast of nameless women known only by a color. The characters deal with subjects such as love, abandonment, rape and abortion.

The cast includes Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Loretta Devine, Anika Noni Rose, Thandie Newton, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, Phylicia Rashad, Macy Gray, Tessa Thompson, Michael Ealy, Hill Harper, Khalil Kain, Omari Hardwick and Richard Lawson.

Competing against the film on November 5 will be the Paramount-DreamWorks Animation's 3D toon 'Megamind,' starring Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and Brad Pitt and Warner Bros.' Todd Phillips-directed 'Due Date,' with Robert Downey, Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan and Jamie Foxx.

ANGELINA JOLIE and BRAD PITT are at war over tomboy daughter SHILOH.

L'auteur de la BD Nemesis, Mark Millar , souhaite engager Brad Pitt et Johnny Depp l'adaptation sur grand écran. Mark Miller est un auteur de comics hors du commun. C'est à lui qu'on doit Kick-Ass , porté à l'écran par Matthew Vaughn . On apprenait le mois dernier que la Fox avait acheté les droits d'un autre de ses super-héros, Nemesis . Ce dernier est un milliardaire qui souhaite venger la mort de ses parents, tués par Blake Morrow, chef de la police de Washington. Pour cette adaptation, Mark Millar souhaiterait que Brad Pitt et Johnny Depp soient au casting. Au moment de l'annonce du rachat des droits, Millar disait en effet que le casting allait nous "époustoufler". Avec un budget de 150 millions de dollars, il est tout à fait envisageable que des acteurs comme Pitt ou Depp fassent partie du projet. Lors de son interview à la BBC, l'auteur en a aussi profité pour ajouter que le réalisateur rattaché au projet, Tony Scott ( Spy Game , L'attaque du métro 123 ), avait exprimé son accord en disant à Millar : " C'est bien, on va leur passer un coup de fil" . Facile pour lui, qui a déjà travaillé avec Brad Pitt sur Spy Game . Cependant, étant donnée la liste de projets attribuée à l'acteur ( World War Z , Red Dead Redemption, Brownsville girl ), il va falloir avancer de sérieux arguments pour le convaincre. Rápidamente está cogiendo forma un proyecto del que supimos su existencia hace poco más de un mes, momento en el que se anunciaba que 20th Century Fox había adquirido los derechos para la gran pantalla de otra novela gráfica de Mark Millar, Nemesis.

Venecia (Italia).- Protagonista del último filme de Robert Rodríguez, "Machete", sobre corrupción e inmigración en EEUU, la actriz Jessica Alba cree que su país necesita "desde hace mucho tiempo" reformas inmigratorias y no una ley como la SB1070 del Estado de Arizona, que califica de "racista".

"Esa ley en particular es racista, directamente, pero necesitamos reformas de inmigración en nuestro país. La necesitamos desde hace mucho tiempo, por eso Robert (Rodríguez) rodó esta película sobre ello", comentó hoy en un encuentro con periodistas Alba en el marco del 67 Festival Internacional de Cine de Venecia, que se celebra desde este miércoles y hasta el 11 de septiembre.

En "Machete", cinta presentada hoy fuera de concurso en el certamen de la Ciudad de los Canales, la actriz californiana de origen mexicano interpreta el papel de Sartana, una honrada agente del Departamento de Inmigración de Estados Unidos que terminará poniéndose del lado de los inmigrantes mexicanos para luchar contra la corrupción.

"Es simplemente una coincidencia, porque la idea de la película es de hace unos años", comentó la actriz sobre el filme, que aborda la difícil situación de los inmigrantes indocumentados mexicanos en Estados Unidos justo en un momento en el que está muy de actualidad la controvertida norma de Arizona que criminaliza la inmigración ilegal.

Sobre ello, en el mismo encuentro con periodistas, se pronunció también Danny Trejo, el actor estadounidense de ascendencia mexicana que encarna al protagonista del filme, "Machete", un ex agente federal de México que termina erigiéndose en líder de una particular revolución de inmigrantes contra un político corrupto y su entorno en el Estado de Texas.

"No hay nada nuevo. Necesitamos reformas de inmigración. Quizá es tiempo de ya mirar al asunto y abordarlo de lleno", comentó Trejo, quien reconoció que el momento es "perfecto" para presentar esta película, que se podrá ver en los cines de Estados Unidos a partir del próximo viernes.

"Cuando puedes usar la cultura pop y el entretenimiento para borrar estereotipos y exponer asuntos en una especie de diálogo, eso es poderoso, está bien. Para mí eso es lo que es emocionante del arte", comentó Alba.

Ambos actores reconocieron que seguramente la principal idea del público que irá al cine a ver la película no es la de plantearse un debate interno sobre la corrupción o la inmigración, aunque de ella cada uno puede extraer, según ellos, las conclusiones que quieran.

"Creo que la gente se divertirá viendo la película. ¿Si hay demasiada violencia? Creo que en las noticias del Canal 7 tienes más violencia que en esta película", incidió Trejo sobre un filme tremendamente sangriento, en el que toman protagonismo las pistolas y las armas blancas.

"Machete", en cuyo reparto encontramos también a Robert de Niro, Steven Seagal, Michelle Rodríguez, Lindsay Lohan y Don Johnson, tiene además otro componente de reivindicación, el de la figura de una mujer dura, que se enfrenta a los problemas de frente, algo, que, según Alba, rompe algunos estereotipos.

La película "tiene personajes muy bien desarrollados, sobre todo fuertes personajes femeninos. Las mujeres participan en la acción. Somos duras, inteligentes. Desafía a todos los estereotipos que normalmente ves en las películas de acción. Estoy emocionada por estar en este barco", comentó la actriz.

"No me gusta el tipo de mujer con la cabeza en las nubes, que sólo tiene una dimensión. He interpretado a mujeres que son más débiles, pero no me gusta ese tipo de mujeres. En 'Sin City' interpreté a una mujer que era muy débil y eso fue muy duro para mí", agregó.

Por su parte, Trejo afirmó que para él interpretar a Machete a sido todo un "honor" y aseguró que el hecho de que Rodríguez le haya dado el papel se debe, en parte, a que el cineasta estadounidense trabaja fuera de Hollywood.

"Si hubiera sido en Hollywood, Brad Pitt habría sido Machete. Habría sido genial, se habría ganado mucho dinero, pero no habría encajado. Es lo bueno de Robert. Hizo un superhéroe del tipo de Clint Eastwood o Charles Bronson y no del tipo de los guapos", comentó el actor.

Aí, galera... Lembram que há algumas semanas Mark Millar fez um suspense feladaputa dizendo que tinha uma notícia bombástica pra revelar e que era a mais foda do universo e mimimi e tralalá? E no final das contas ele só falou que estavam negociando pra que sua nova HQ, Nêmesis, fosse pro cinema e que Tony Scott, irmão do Ridley Scott, seria o diretor?



Pois então, o safardana do Millar voltou a fazer um hype em cima das suas mutretagens... Numa entrevista na rádio da BBC, Millar deu mais um dos seus blefes, ou não? Saquem o que ele falou:

Então, rapá... Tony Scott me ligou um dia, há cerca de um mês atrás, e começou um papo muito surreal pra mim... Ele disse que tinham um orçamento de 150 milhões pra fazer Nêmesis e me perguntou "Mas e aí? Quem você quer no seu filme?" - e eu respondi: "Sei lá, gosto do Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt..."

Tony me disse então: "Boas escolhas, vou ligar pra eles" - e desligou o telefone...

Depois dessa declaração, Millar deu indícios de que pelo menos um dos atores certamente estaria no seu filme, mas sabem como é o Millar, né? Alguém ainda leva é no que ele fala?




O que eu acho? Não li nada de Nemesis ainda, só sei que é uma história que me parece ser chupadaça do Espreitador, inimigo do Batman... que era um Batman ao contrário, que caçava policiais ao invés de criminosos, com a mesma determinação, treinamento, sagacidade e apetrechos tecnológicos da Morcega...

Mas quanto aos atores, bem, o filme tá em pré-produção, nada mais interessante pro produtor do que chamar a atenção pro produto relacionando o nome de dois grandes atores pro filme, mesmo que isso não seja verdade... Lembram quando Zack Snyder falava de Watchmen? Segundo ele, teríamos John Cusack como Coruja, Jude Law com Ozymandias, Kate Winslet como Silk Spectre e Jeremy Irons como Moloch...


...e vocês viram quem acabou com os papéis no final das contas...

George Clooney is reportedly eyeing a screen adaptation of play Farragut North for his next directing gig.

And with the likes of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and Chris Pine already signed on to star, you can see why the silver fox is so interested in the project.

A political gambit that came out of Howard Dean’s 2004 campaign to become the next US President, Farragut North was originally scribed by playwright Beau Williamson and followed political backstabbing in an Iowa town.

Chris Pine will apparently play political genius Stephen Meyers – a role that he has already treaded the boards with during the play’s LA production.

Meanwhile, Philip Seymour Hoffman has nabbed the role of Paul Zara from Brad Pitt. Zara is a hardened campaign trail boss.

Will this be Clooney’s next? He’s already got two handfuls’ worth of other projects tugging at his apron strings (among them Escape From Tehran and The Innocent Man), but how can he possibly pass up a cast like that?

(NECN/CNN) - In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, actor Brad Pitt stepped in to help some families get their homes back in the lower 9th ward. The "Make It Right Foundation," his non-profit, led an eco-friendly campaign to build a neighborhood of affordable, green houses. "I got down here because I was angry, and then I got excited," said Pitt. "These houses here have exceeded my expectations. The goal here was: How do you build affordable housing that's high performance, and that is going to be strong enough to withstand the kind of weather that we're seeing down here. Things that drive the price up, we've got to get down." Pitt says the area is the "greenest neighborhood in the world."

It's hard to imagine a less-glamorous movie debut. Shirt soaked, forehead glowing like a piece of chicken tikka, my leading-man looks have sadly evaporated under the blazing sun of a Kerala morning. Wolverine 2, one of the most anticipated and worrisome comic book adaptations in recent memory, could have a very unexpected director.

Arthouse director Darren Aronofsky (who directed The Wrestler and the adaptation Requiem for a Dream) has joined the director of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on the shortlist to direct the film. What do you think? Could a director like Aronofsky handle a comic book franchise?

Deadline Hollywood has the scoop: "20th Century Fox is between David Slade and Darren Aronofsky, I'm told. Slade, who just directed the summer hit The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, met over the weekend with Hugh Jackman on location where he is shooting Real Steel for DreamWorks. Aronofsky has also been talking with Jackman, and they have a good relationship that dates back to The Fountain, when Jackman stepped in after Brad Pitt dropped out." (Via io9)

In 2007, Brad Pitt co-founded the Make It Right Foundation, which aims to build 150 environmentally friendly homes in a New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina -- Lower Ninth Ward.

This video from Reuters takes a look at some of the houses, which are custom tailored to the specific things that residents liked and disliked about their previous houses.

The buildings employ a range of eco-friendly technology to make them more efficient and healthy, including Energy Star-rated windows and appliances, formaldehyde-free cabinets and paints free of VOCs. Additionally, the houses are elevated 8 feet and have an emergency escape hatch in the roof, in the event of any disasters. They are also affordable, costing about $150,000 each.

Moneyball is a baseball film starring Brad Pitt and Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, and it's set to open sometime in 2011.

Hoffman will perform as former big league manager Art Howe, and Pitt -- one of the most famous people in the universe -- will be playing Billy Beane, the "mastermind" general manager of the Oakland A's.

Can you imagine that? Beane has been so successful in Oakland that a movie is being made about his innovations and triumphs as the A's leading man. Not only is the film being made, but Beane's character was given to one of the most recognizable faces in the business -- a sex symbol, nonetheless.

And who can blame Hollywood for wanting a piece of this action? Beane has achieved so much during his time in Oakland...wait a second...

Has a Beane-led A's team ever won anything?

This is Beane's 13th season as GM of the Athletics, and his club has won the World Series zero times during his reign. Wait, it gets better.

In the previous 12 seasons, the A's have won zero American League championships.

During that time period, they've only appeared in the ALCS once (2006). Beane's Athletics performed well in that series against the Detroit Tigers...if "well" means getting swept. The Tigers made quick work of the light-hitting boys from Oakland.

Simply put, these results don't make any sense. They don't make any sense because Michael Lewis' Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game is likely the most popular baseball book in publishing history. It may not only be the most popular baseball book of all time, it is arguably the most popular book of all sports.

Lewis' detailed work elevated Beane to a stratosphere never before occupied by a general manager. As far as media coverage and attention, GM's are often secondary to the skippers that patrol the dugouts of their respective teams.

Thanks to Lewis and Moneyball, things are quite different in Oakland. Beane is the star. The managers (Howe, Ken Macha, and Bob Geren) are puppets manipulated by the front office's many strings and hindrances. 

The question is: does Beane deserve the stature he has achieved?

Many consider him the best general manager in the game; is he worthy of that distinction?

Well, at the very least, I can't argue with his ability to evaluate starting pitching. It started with the extremely impressive trio of RHP Tim Hudson (an all-star again this year), LHP Barry Zito (having a bit of a bounce-back season), and LHP Mark Mulder.

Then there was RHP Rich Harden, an incredible but oft-injured talent. RHP Justin Duchscherer has been an all-star, and Beane's trade for RHP Dan Haren came at exactly the right time in his career.

Today the A's have a slew of capable young arms, including sinkerballer Trevor Cahill, flame-throwing lefty Gio Gonzalez, workhorse Dallas Braden (of the Perfect Game fame), electric closer Andrew Bailey, and potential long-term ace LHP Brett Anderson.

But the 2010 Oakland Athletics are a mere .500 ballclub. This infusion of impressive arms isn't leading them to playoff-type success. And why, you ask?

Because Billy Beane teams don't hit. Not since the steroid star power of 1B Jason Giambi and then-SS Miguel Tejada have the A's had a lineup for opposing pitchers to fear. Their leading regulars this season are OF Ryan Sweeney (.294 BA) and limited-pop 1B Daric Barton (.279).

Although for Beane, it's not about batting average; it's about OBP and OPS. Unfortunately, Oakland's on-base experts are 25th in the bigs in runs scored. What good is a razor-sharp understanding of the strikezone if you can't drive in runners in scoring position?

Not much good at all, of course.

While we're on the topic of offense, I can't ignore the fact that Beane traded OF Carlos Gonzalez (aka "Cargo").

Cargo, now an immensely popular member of the Colorado Rockies, is currently leading the National League in batting average at .326. In addition to that impressive average, he has 29 HR, 90 RBI, 20 SB, 86 R, and a .955 OPS.

With those outstanding numbers in mind, Cargo is locked in a nip-and-tuck MVP battle with Reds' 1B Joey Votto. Both candidates have the statistics to warrant an MVP award, but Cargo is the better all-around player.

If the Rockies find a way into the postseason, in my opinion, Cargo should take home the hardware.

Can you imagine that? Beane, the "mastermind" at the helm of an offensively-starved franchise, traded an all-world talent when he was just 23 years old. Even worse, he traded Cargo for a one-year rental in LF Matt Holliday, who was shipped to the St. Louis Cardinals as soon as the wheels fell off the A's 2009 season. 

Go figure.

And yet, in the end, I know Billy Beane is a talented executive. I completely understand the financial deficiencies of the Oakland A's franchise. I know that Beane has drafted and developed some excellent major league ballplayers.

But...the best general manager in professional baseball? Really?

Hollywood, a full-length movie, and Brad Pitt? Really?

I'm sorry folks, but I'm not buyin' it...

Unless Billy Beane is sellin' it. I'd probably rip him off in a deal.

Sinqua Walls, Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz and Joel David Moore will star in David R. Ellis' horror film Shark Night 3D , produced by Mike Fleiss and written by Jesse Studenberg and Will Hayes. Heat Vision says "the story revolves around seven men and women who spend a weekend at a lake house in Louisiana's Gulf area. Their vacation quickly becomes a nightmare of hellish shark attacks." Walls is playing a Tulane University linebacker with plans on marrying his college sweetheart (Diaz). Carmack is the ex-boyfriend of the female lead, still uncast, who was scarred in a boating accident. Moore is providing the comic relief as a socially awkward guy who fancies himself a young Brad Pitt. Filming is scheduled to start in early September in Louisiana.

Shark Night 3D, David R. Ellis’ multi-dimensional (visually, at least) horror flick has added four cast members to its line-up.

With filming set to kick off in Louisiana in September, Ellis has lined up a cast of nubile young things for the titular fanged fish to chow down on.

TV stalwarts Sinqua Walls (Friday Night Lights), Chris Carmack (The O.C.), Alyssa Diaz (Southland, above) and Joel Moore (Bones, Avatar) have all signed on to thrash about in the water.

The plot follows seven people on a weekend break at a Louisiana lake house who quickly become shark bait.

Walls will play a university linebacker who intends to marry college sweetheart Diaz. Carmack is the ex-boyfriend of a yet-uncast girl scarred by a boating accident, while Moore will provide comic relief as a guy who sees himself as Brad Pitt.

Of course, we all know the real star will be the shark. Expect an announcement that Andy Serkis has been swimming with sharks in preparation for his next mo-cap role any day now…

I just started to date my wife at that time and I think it was fun for her because she was at college but I didn’t think it was a big deal.”
