Rob Dydrek may headline his own signature collection under the DC umbrella but he can’t help taking a liking to what’s being developed by DC LIFE, the lifestyle division of DC Shoes. In fact, Rob was feelin one of the designs so much that he decided to put his name on a pair.

Stepping outside his own collection of footwear, Rob hooked up with DC LIFE to put his efforts into designing a pair of the DC Royal. Taking a “murdered-out” approach the entire upper is coated in Black patent leather and Black ballistic mesh, and contrasted by a White rubber sole and White DC branding on the tongue and heel. Rob’s signature appears below the DC logo’s indicting this DC Royal as a creation by the face of DC Shoes.

Taking the old and making it new again Nike’s produced the Air Flight Falcon, a retro-styled hybrid which fuses together elements from the Air Flight ‘89 and Air Tech Challenge II. Back in May we saw the sneakers launch in a refreshing colorway of Grey/White-Marina Blue which fit in perfectly with the trendy Summer releases. Now that we’re starting to get into the Fall collections we’re beginning to see some more neutral and darker colored palettes being used such as the one of this latest release of the Nike Air Flight Falcon.

A combination of Black and Cool Grey appear throughout the base of the sneakers, mixing it up between glossy and matte leather. White fills in the Air Jordan IV-like midsole, followed up by Club Purple accents neatly placed around the upper and on the outsole to give this Air Flight Falcon just enough of what it needs to pop. They’re available now at select Nike retailers, including Finish Line, for $88.

If you haven’t been able to tell from all my recent blog posts, lately I’ve been absolutely obsessed with shoes. I’ve been ogling new women's shoes online like it’s my job. I can’t get enough and it seems like this summer’s shoes, as well as this summer’s pre-release of upcoming fall shoes, are just amazing and so tempting. But as I admitted the other day with clogs, there are just some styles that don’t work for everyone. For me, the clog did not do my legs and feet any justice. There is just the basic fact that some shoes look better on certain people. And as much as there is no pressure on body size in terms of finding a pair of shoes that fits, it is undeniable that shoes can have a major impact on the appearance of your body as well as your outfit more generally.
