Sasha Grey, who crossed over from porn to mainstream, has published photos she took of herself in a new coffee-table book -- and she unveiled details about the raunchy pics to RadarOnline.com.

Hulk Hogan may have met his match -- and she's got some pretty big muscles herself!

The wrestling-icon-turned-reality star is carrying on innuendo filled banter on Twitter with Jewels Jade, a bodybuilding adult film actress who was February 2011's Penthouse Pet.

Hulk tweeted: "Headed to LAX, flying all day, back to the beach ! HH" to which Jade responded: "Have fun at the beach get your lift on so your all pumped up."

Jade added: "That it would be a dream come true to work out with you. My man is a navy seal and we train hard as [hell]," before linking to a few pictures that shouldn’t be viewed at work showing off her sculpted physique.

It's Wednesday, so it's time for another episode of "The Ultimate Fighter." After tonight's episode, we'll know who most of the quarterfinalists are, as well as the recipients of the "second-chance" wildcard berths, awarded to two fighters who lost in the first round but deserve another chance. Who will win tonight's bouts? Who will get the wildcard? Will Junior dos Santos and Lew Polley appear to be coaching two different teams again? Is Dana White wearing a Stevie Nicks shirt as a cross-promotion with Glee's Fleetwood Mac episode from Tuesday night? Read on for spoilers and a recap.

Signals crossed of the night: After dos Santos gives a rousing speech to his fighters, who just suffered another loss, telling them that losing is part of the game, his assistant coach says, "No. It's your job to win, even if it is boring." Dos Santos tells Polley, in a very nice way, to shut up.

Oh No of the Week: At Lesnar's training practice, Len Bentley, their main wildcard hope, injures his knee. Clay Harvison is getting his finger, which was mangled in his last fight, checked out at the hospital. Both fighters assume that they're done.

But Wait! of the Week: Harvison's finger is easily fixable. Bentley's knee dislocated, but no ligaments were torn. I've dislocated my knee. It's awful, terrible, horrible, not-so-much-mind-numbing-as-blinding pain, but afterwards, it heals pretty quickly. (The surgery to keep it from dislocating again? I don't recommend.)

Junior vs. Lew of the Day: Dos Santos is ticked that Polley went to the fighters' house without telling him, and he feels like Polley is constantly going over his head. Probably because he is. Dos Santos lets the hammer come down, telling Polley it's time to go home. Polley is obviously disappointed, but there was only so many times that he could contradict dos Santos before this was going to happen.

Fight picks of the week: With control in their hands, Team Lesnar pits Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Edwards, which will put two wrestlers against each other. That means Lesnar's Chuck O'Neil will fight Zach Davis from Team dos Santos.

Good-Bye, Lou of the Week: Dos Santos' fighters are worried that they won't understand anyone from their corner ... and that's all they have to say about that.

Fight One of the Week: Tony Ferguson (Team Lesnar) vs. Justin Edwards (Team dos Santos)

Round One: Edwards comes out throwing every single punch ever invented ever. He then tries for a takedown, but can't get it done. Lesnar then announces, "He just blew his wad." Classy. Ferguson takes advantage, lands more strikes and shakes off an Edwards takedown. Just when it appears that Lesnar was right, Edwards starts coming back and gets a takedown. But Edwards' good fortune doesn't last long he stands up to reset, and Ferguson lands a heel kick, knocking Edwards out.

"That's the [expletive] that makes you want to get out of bed on a Saturday and watch a fight," Dana White said after the bout. Fighters can not have a more ringing endorsement than that.

Edwards is disappointed, but he should take consolation in the fact that he impress White. For Ferguson, the win is a great birthday celebration.

Fight Two of the Week: Chuck O'Neil (Team Lesnar) vs. Zach Davis (Team dos Santos)

Round One: Davis shoots in and gets an immediate takedown. O'Neil tries for a guillotine, but can't hold onto it. Though O'Neil gets back to his feet, Davis continues to be in control in the clinch. He throws several knees into O'Neil's body, and then takes it back to the ground. Davis works on the ground before standing over O'Neil, allowing him to stand back up, and then taking him down again. This time, O'Neil sneaks out the back and gets top position, landing several blows. But Davis doesn't give up. He maneuvers around to slap a triangle choke on O'Neil, causing him to tap.

Again, White was impressed with both fighters and the way they had a war on the ground.

Heartbreak of the week: White calls Justin Edwards into the office to tell him that he was picked for the wildcard spot but (dramatic pause) he has a medical suspension for 90 days and he can't fight. He's broken-hearted, but will thank the commission when he's 53 and remembers his kids' names.

Missed opportunity of the week: As is the custom, White and the coaches ask every wildcard candidate to come in and say why they want the fight. Though they all seem to want it, no one blows White and the coaches away. Have they not watched the show before?

Confidential to future "The Ultimate Fighter" contestants: If you want the wildcard spot or the spot of an injured fighter, jump up and down. Yell. Swear. Write it on your chest then rip your shirt off, Hulk Hogan-style. It's obvious that this is the hoop that White wants you to jump though, so jump through it.

The coaches and White finish an oddly civil discussion about the wildcards, and announce that the wildcard fight will be:

Javier Torres (Team dos Santos) vs. Chuck O'Neil (Team Lesnar)

Consider Len Bentley pissed. But get excited. Next week is the coach's challenge!

This evening’s episode of WWE’s Monday Night Raw—fittingly on the USA Network—will celebrate patriotism. Yes, even more than it usually does.

According to WWE.com, on Raw tonight, “WWE will replay Superstar John Cena announcing the news about Osama Bin Laden to the crowd at last night’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view in which the crowd spontaneously chanted U-S-A.”

Aside from celebrating The Rock’s 39th birthday—he loved the Bin Laden birthday present, by the way—the event will also feature a partial rematch of Sunday night’s steel-cage match from WWE Extreme Rules, as Cena will defend his newly won WWE Championship against the former titleholder, The Miz.

No word on whether or not WWE legend Hulk Hogan will make an appearance solely so that his entrance song can be heard.

Similarly, no word on whether or not Hacksaw Jim Duggan will show up to lead the crowd in his trademark chant of “U-S-A! U-S-A!”

Still, be sure to tune in to USA at 9 ET/8 CT.

Osama bin Laden is finally gone, but the meaning of his death will take weeks to fully comprehend. Will that stop sports columnists from finding a way to make this about sports? Of course not! Talking Points is a daily feature that runs down some of the best stories in sports (and elsewhere). Today, is an "elsewhere" day.

A firefight in Abbottabad, Pakistan is how it all ended for Osama bin Laden. Or, a bullet to the head, to be exact. This despite his attempts to use his wife as a human shield. So, yes. The world's better off without bin Laden.

He'd come to personify evil over the past ten years. We chased him all over the Middle East, and he always got away--that's why Sunday night's news felt so cathartic for so many of us. Not because killing Osama wins the war on terror, but because with Osama alive, it felt like a victory for terrorists.

Even if its symbolism outstripped any tangible impact Bin Laden's death may have on the fight against terrorism, it was still a classic, badass moment during an era when America's been defined by paranoia and partisanship. This was simple: We said we were gonna get him, and we did.

It may not be justice, because there weren't enough bullets in the world to hold Osama accountable for what he did to America as a country and Islam as a religion. But it's revenge, and that's good enough for me. Was it a "major turning point in the war on terror" like NBC News said? Who knows.

It'll take a lot longer to read whether this is the denouement to an ugly chapter of American history or merely a red herring. But either way, we got him, and that's enough to make this a good day.

Anyway, everyone can see this news differently. Others saw it as a major victory for America in the war on terror, and that's cool, too. Others, like Chris Douglas-Roberts, wondered why everyone was celebrating. And still others, like Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, saw this as a call-to-action for NFL negotiators. Ummmmmmm:

With the NFL schedule carefully crafted to permit several weeks that are missed on the front end due to a lockout to be made up during bye weeks and/or by the tacking of extra weekends onto the back end of the regular season, the finality that has come from the completion of the protracted mission to capture or kill bin Laden makes it even more important that the NFL properly commemorate the 10th anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history.

Yes, everyone's entitled to their own opinion and their own interpretation, but likewise, we're all entitled to call that opinion completely ridiculous. To wit, Tommy Craggs weighs in at Deadspin:

[Florio's reasoning] is so silly and facile that not even Peter King thinks he thinks it. ... Besides, does anyone else quietly dread the prospect of 9/11 football? Do you realize what we're in for? They cover the sport in so much warpaint and bunting and surly jingoism as is — remember when the country mistook the 2002 Patriots for the 101st Airborne? — that we can't be more than one or two 9/11 anniversaries from ceremonially blowing up a mosque at halftime.

Right. Especially the NFL-jingoism part.

There are a lot of ways to interpret Sunday night's news, and the implications are still beyond our full comprehension. But this much is certain--those implications have absolutely nothing to do with sports. It's what bugs me anytime there's some time-stopping cultural event that steals our attention away from sports. Whenever that happens, without fail, you'll have columnists that look to exploit it by drawing a connection to sports. It detracts from the news itself, but more than anything, it detracts from sports.

If columnists want to talk about Bin Laden's death because it's all anyone can talk about today, then they should talk about Bin Laden's death. But don't insult us with some idiotic connection to the NFL. Sports are supposed to be separate from all that. And that's why we love sports.

Tweeting About Osama Bin Laden. Since Osama is all anyone can talk about today, we might as well run with it. So here's an essay on Osama bin Laden composed entirely of athlete tweets. "Since we caught Osama do I still have to take my laptop out at security?"

Live-Tweeting About Osama Bin Laden. As soon as news broke of Obama's press conference, Twitter came alive like never before, and before long, the news was broken that it was about Osama bin Laden. For breaking news, nothing touches Twitter. You know this.

It never stops being weird hearing about deaths on Twitter, though, if only because nobody knows exactly what tone to strike. In any case, there were 4,000 tweets per second as the news unfolded last night, but nobody beats this guy, who was in Abbottabad when U.S. forces raided Osama's mansion, and just happened to be Twitter-ing away the entire time. At the end of it?

So, That Was A Pretty Badass Week For Obama, Huh? For the record, his birth certificate situation still seems MIGHTY QUESTIONABLE, but otherwise, the Obama administration couldn't have asked for a much better week. And yes, coming out to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" song was probably the coolest thing he's ever done. You know, before killing Osama bin Laden and all that. Here's the text of the speech he gave Sunday night, which wasn't quite as funny, but pretty much perfect.

Dispatches From The Middle East. Now seems like a good time to go back and re-read all the quotes from Pakistani diplomats who swore up and down that Osama bin Laden was not being harbored in Pakistan. On the other hand, at least we can take solace that Osama was holed up in a place that smelled of "bad B.O. and goat urine."

What Better Way To Celebrate This Occasion than with a bin Laden-themed celebration at Miami's most famous Gentleman's Club, King of Diamonds? This land is your land, this land is my land...

Finally, That Rant From The Best 9/11 Movie Ever. Maybe it's because I saw it in New York City a little while after 9/11, but The 25th Hour has always been my favorite movie about 9/11, even if it's not really about 9/11. Especially because it's not about 9/11. In fact, the book that spawned the movie was written before the terrorist attacks. But that's the whole point; you couldn't tell a story about New Yorkers New York City without touching on 9/11. There's no better testament to 9/11's impact than that simple reality. 9/11 underpinned every interaction, every emotion, every story.

And watching all the Osama coverage late into the night on Sunday, my mind drifted back to this 25th Hour-rant about New York. The whole thing's highly NSFW, and at the 3:25-mark it turns to Osama:

"On the names of innocent thousands murdered, I pray you spend the rest of eternity with your 72 whores, roasting in a jet fuel fire in hell. ... You can kiss my royal Irish ass."

And... Yep, that's just about perfect, I think.

Anyway, the Correspondents' Dinner was Saturday night, and President Obama's routine was, by the admittedly subterranean standards of the typical presidential performance, pretty darn hilarious. I always get a case of the grimaces whenever I watch any president making light of presidenting, and some of the jokes were real groaners for totally the wrong reasons, but there were parts of this during which I really kind of loved the guy.

And where is the National Public Radio table? [They cheer.] You guys are still here?! [Laughter.] That's good. I couldn't remember where we landed on that. [Laughter.] Now, I know you were a little tense when the GOP tried to cut your funding, but personally I was looking forward to new programming like "No Things Considered" [laughter] or "Wait, Wait…Don't Fund Me." [Laughter.]

Of course, the deficit is a serious issue. That's why Paul Ryan couldn't be here tonight. His budget has no room for laughter. [Laughter.]

Michele Bachmann is here, though, I understand, and she is thinking about running for President—which is weird because I hear she was born in Canada. [Laughter.] Yes, Michele, this is how it starts. [Huge laughter.] Just letting you know. [Laughter and applause.]

Tim Pawlenty? He seems all-American. But have you heard his real middle name? Tim "Hosni" Pawlenty? [Laughter.] What a shame. [Laughter.]

My buddy, our outstanding ambassador, Jon Huntsman, is with us. Now, there's something you might not know about Jon. He didn't learn to speak Chinese to go there. Oh no. [Laughter.] He learned English to come here. [Laughter and applause.]

And then there's a vicious rumor floating around that I think could really hurt Mitt Romney. I heard he passed universal health care when he was governor of Massachusetts. [Laughter.] Someone should get to the bottom of that.

And I know just the guy to do it—Donald Trump is here tonight! [Laughter and applause.] Now, I know that he's taken some flak lately, but no one is happier, no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than The Donald. [Laughter.] And that's because he can finally get back [chuckles] to focusing on the issues that matter—like, did we fake the moon landing? [Laughter.] What really happened in Roswell? [Laughter.] And where are Biggie and Tupac?! [Huge laughter and applause.]

But all kidding aside, obviously, we all know about your credentials and breadth of experience, um. [Laughter.] For example—no, seriously, just recently, in an episode of Celebrity Apprentice [laughter], at the steakhouse, the men's cooking team cooking did not impress the judges from Omaha Steaks. And there was a lot of blame to go around, but you, Mr. Trump, recognized that the real problem was a lack of leadership, and so, ultimately, you didn't blame Li'l Jon or Meatloaf. [Laughter.] You fired Gary Busey. [Laughter.] And these are the kind of decisions that would keep me up at night. [Laughter and applause.] Well handled, sir! Well handled!

Say what you will about Mr. Trump, he certainly would bring some change to the White House. Let's see what we've got up there. [Points to the screen, which shows an image of a blinged-out "Trump White House Resort and Casino." (Someone's been reading Shakesville!) Laughter.]

So, yes, this has been quite a year in politics, but also in the movies. Many people, for instance, were inspired by The King's Speech. It's a wonderful film. [Applause.] Well, some of you may not know this, but there's now a sequel in the works that touches close to home. And because this is a Hollywood crowd, tonight I can offer a sneak peek. The devastation is unimaginable and is heartbreaking and it's going to be a long road back. And so we need to keep those Americans in our thoughts and in our prayers. But we also need to stand with them in the hard months and perhaps years to come.

I intend to make sure that the federal government does that. And I've got faith that the journalists in this room will do their part for the people who have been affected by this disaster—by reporting on their progress, and letting the rest of America know when they will need more help. Those are stories that need telling. And that's what all of you do best, whether it's rushing to the site of a devastating storm in Alabama, or braving danger to cover a revolution in the Middle East.

You know, in the last months, we've seen journalists threatened, arrested, beaten, attacked, and in some cases even killed simply for doing their best to bring us the story, to give people a voice, and to hold leaders accountable. And through it all, we've seen daring men and women risk their lives for the simple idea that no one should be silenced and everyone deserves to know the truth.

That's what you do. At your best that's what journalism is. That's the principle that you uphold. It is always important, but it's especially important in times of challenge, like the moment that America and the world is facing now.

So I thank you for your service and the contributions that you make. And I want to close by recognizing not only your service, but also to remember those that have been lost as a consequence of the extraordinary reporting that they've done over recent weeks. They help, too, to defend our freedoms and allow democracy to flourish.

God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America. [Applause.]

The whole birther movement, prompted by Donald Trump's accusations that President Barack Obama still had not provided adequate proof he was born in the U.S., always seemed to us anyway, like a joke.

Even after President Obama went so far as to release his long-form birth certificate to the media, and took a serious tone with the press for giving the accusations so much weight, many citizens were laughing at the propensity of it all. This was a punchline, masked as serious business, and leave it to the President himself to unmask the issue, laying it bare for everyone to laugh at on Friday during the annual White House Correspondent's dinner.

Before he even spoke, President Obama had jokes. The President walked out to 'Real American,' the famed theme music of wrestler Hulk Hogan, along with a video montage of his long-form birth certificate against an American flag backdrop. When he appeared at the podium, President Obama wasted no time roasting his well-known critics and skeptics. Below, a list of those who were on the receiving end of some of President Obama's best jokes and the video of his very funny speech.

On Donald Trump: The night was practically open-season on Trump, and the President could have gone anywhere he wanted - the toupee, the failed marriages, years of squandering his wealth - but like a skilled politician, he stayed on message, taking digs at Trump's most recent shenanigans. "Now, I know that he's taken some flak lately, but no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than The Donald," the President said.

"And that's because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter, like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac? All kidding aside, we all know about your credentials, and your breadth of experience. For example, on a recent episode of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' at the steakhouse, the men's cooking team did not impress the men from Omaha Steaks. There was lots of blame to go around, but you, Mr. Trump, recognized that the real problem was a lack of leadership. Ultimately, you didn't blame [rapper] Lil Jon or [singer] Meatloaf, you fired Gary Busey. These are the kinds of decisions that keep me up at night. Well handled, sir! Well handled."

On Matt Damon: During the publicity blitz for his most recent film, 'The Adjustment Bureau', actor Matt Damon, a known President Obama supporter, made an about-face and criticized the President's performance as Commander-in-Chief. "Matt Damon said he was disappointed in my performance...Well Matt, I just saw 'The Adjustment Bureau'. Right back at you, buddy!" ,Br />
On FOX News: The President mocked the house that Rupert Murdoch built, showing a satirical video of his birth with a clip from 'The Lion King'. "Tonight, for the first time I'm releasing my official birth video," the President said. The clip itself was funny, but his follow up line made for an even better laugh. "I want to make clear to the Fox News table, that was a joke. That was not my real birth video. That was a children's cartoon. Call Disney if you don't believe me. They have the original long-form version."

On Michelle Obama: "We made a terrific team at the Easter Egg roll this week. I'd give out bags of candy to the kids, and she snatched them right back out of their little hands." Even the President himself seemed to enjoy that one, as he laughed and repeated, "Snatched them!"

On some of his critics: "Some people now suggest that I'm too professorial, and I'd like to address that head on by assigning all of you some reading that will help you draw your own conclusions. Others say that I'm arrogant, but I've found a really great self-help tool for this...my poll numbers."

? I can honestly say I cringed!!!

?disclaimer, because it now seems we need one. This is only how I feel. This is not a fact by fact post. I really welcome all that want to post an opinion, it’s great to have a good discussion and see all sides.

I don’t know if any saw the video that has hulk hogan theme song, american eagle, and his birth certificate popping up? If you haven’t please go see it on utube and if so inclined post your thoughts.
However, to me it was tacky. To me it reminded me of a young child going nah nah nah in a spoiled way.
No matter what official office a person holds, or party, or colour, os sex I would have thought the same thing.
Reason: no matter what some of the people he governs needed more and the neglect to finalize it way way back in the beginning ONLY made it worse. So, to do it now he as the president should have showen some quite dignity and left it with how it was just proven but nooo he gloated and couldn’t just leave it alone.
Now I know this is what others have done before, the gloating, the ads, the media.... Didn’t make it right then and doesn’t make it right now.
Plus if he was so worried about moving on so this issue wouldn’t distract from other issues WHY keep it going ? Only fueling the issue! At least in my mind.

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama exercised his revenge Saturday after weeks of attacks from his would-be Republican challenger Donald Trump, joking that the billionaire businessman could bring change to the White House, transforming it from a stately mansion into a tacky casino with a whirlpool in the garden.

With Trump in attendance, Obama used the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner to mock the reality TV star's presidential ambitions. The president said Trump has shown the acumen of a future president, from firing Gary Busey on a recent episode of "Celebrity Apprentice" to focusing so much time on conspiracy theories about Obama's birthplace.

After a week when Obama released his long-form Hawaii birth certificate, he said Trump could now focus on the serious issues, from whether the moon landing actually happened to "where are Biggie and Tupac?"



"No one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than 'the Donald,'" Obama said, referring to Trump's claims the same day that he was responsible for solving the issue.

For Trump's decision to fire actor Busey instead of rock singer Meat Loaf from his TV show earlier this month, Obama quipped: "These are the types of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well handled, sir."

Trump chuckled at some of the earlier jokes, but was clearly less amused as comedian Seth Meyers picked up where Obama left off.

"Donald Trump often talks about running as a Republican, which is surprising," said the Saturday Night Live actor, entrusted with providing some of the comedy for the evening. "I just assumed he was running as a joke."

Trump stared icily at Meyers as he continued to criticize the real estate tycoon.

The two men found themselves in the same room after an intense week of attacks from Trump, who has piggybacked on the birther conspiracies and even Obama's refusal to release his university grades to raise the profile of his possible presidential bid.

And the birth certificate was clearly the key punchline for the evening, which typically offers the president a chance to show off his humorous side and a town consumed by politics and partisanship to enjoy a light-hearted affair.

Obama's presentation started after the wrestler Hulk Hogan's patriotic anthem, "Real American," played. Images of Americana from Mount Rushmore to Uncle Sam were shown on the screen, alongside his birth certificate. And then he offered to show his live birth video, which turned out to be a clip from the Disney film, "The Lion King."

On the serious side, Obama took time to thank the troops for their service overseas and noted that the people of the South, especially Alabama, have suffered heart-wrenching losses.

"The devastation is unbelievable and it is heartbreaking," he said. He encouraged the journalists in the room to help tell the stories of those who have been hurt by the storms and saluted those who lost their lives while covering the news.

Other possible Republican presidential hopefuls in attendance were former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, Rep. Michele Bachmann and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. And stars such as Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson also were among the 3,000 people who attended.

The association was formed in 1914 as a liaison between the press and the president. Every president since Calvin Coolidge has attended the dinner. Some of the proceeds from the dinner pay for journalism scholarships for college students.

**TNA ‘Impact’ did a 1.09 rating and averaged 1,510,000 viewers on Thursday night.

TNA Wrestling taped the next couple of weeks of Impact earlier this week and revealed their TNA Sacrifice 2011 main-event. Let me warn all readers who are reading this blog before Impact airs on Thursday that this is a major TNA Impact spoiler. Still reading? Well you have been warned.

Sting will return to the TNA main-event at Sacrifice and will defend the TNA championship against a “hand-picked” opponent (more on that later). The TNA Sacrifice main-event will feature Sting vs. Rob Van Dam for the title. An angle at Impact set up the match which takes place May 15 on their fifth pay per view of 2011.

The angle which sounds like it makes just as much sense as most of their angles saw Hulk Hogan and Rob Van Dam reportedly have a confrontation. According to reports, Hogan told Rob Van Dam he is not a main-eventer (which is likely a rib on a story from last year where RVD said that only he and Jeff Hardy were main-eventers in TNA).

The fictional platform of reality TV star Donald Trump has the GOP establishment baffled on how to deal with his improbable popularity. As GOP insiders and the conservative base warm to what party veterans see as a “joke candidate,” likely GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich opted for a more theatrical approach. Asked today by radio host Sean Hannity what he thought of Trump and his birther conspiracy, Gingrich described Trump as the “P.T. Barnum” of the “Barnum and Bailey Circus”:

GINGRICH: Well look I think that he is a little bit wild. A little bit..some have compared him to P.T. Barnum and the rise of the Barnum and Bailey Circus. He is one of the great showman of our lifetime. He is very clever at getting news media attention. And he’s in his “Apprentice” candidate phase. That’s fine. He brings a level of excitement and life — a lot more folks will talk about the Republican ticket in the next few weeks because of Donald Trump. I’m all for him being an active Republican, then at some point he’s got to settle down…But for the moment it’s a bit like watching American Idol. We have the newest guest star.

Gingrich didn’t admit Obama was born in the U.S. but said it’s Trump’s “prerogative” to hire researchers to “run around” Hawaii. Gingrich now joins many of the GOP potential presidential hopefuls in staking out their position on “the Donald.” While former Govs. Sarah Palin (AK) and Mike Huckabee (AR) are firmly in the Trump camp, former Gov. Mitt Romney (MA) dismissed Trump’s theories outright. Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty (MN) found a colorful comparison of his own, equating a Trump candidacy to one of “Hulk Hogan.”

The latest pay-per-view from TNA Wrestling took to the road as Cincinnati hosted the cage match themed Lockdown Sunday event. In a surprising move, the Lethal Lockdown match between Immortal and Fortune was saved for the end, culminating in the return of AJ Styles to assist Fortune and help Robert Roode submit Ric Flair with an armbar for the win. In the other main event of the evening, Sting thwarted the efforts of both Rob Van Dam and Mr. Anderson to defend his World Heavyweight title, much to the ire of Hulk Hogan.

First off, I, as well as thousands of other TNA fans, predicted that either Mr. Anderson, Sting, or RVD would turn heel to lead the charge and front Immortal for the time being. Alas, no such turn happened, even with Hulk Hogan gift wrapping a lead pipe to RVD mid match, who in turn refused to use the advantage given to him from the Immortal legend. Not soon after, Anderson would bash RVD over the head with the pipe, but just in time for Sting to catch him with a Scorpion Death Drop and pin Anderson for the three count.

This rather short three-way title bout didn't feel like a PPV quality match, especially considering how much of TNA's television programming has been dedicated to the story over the past couple of months.

This Sunday night TNA presents ‘Lockdown’ from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is a new market for the company to present a pay-per-view from. The LAW will have a full review of the show this Sunday night at 11pm EST on The Score on Sirius 98 and taking your phone calls all night long.

STING VS MR. ANDERSON VS ROB VAN DAM FOR THE TNA TITLE

As usual, here's a TNA angle that really doesn't make any sense to me. Sting keeps talking about how he is in to take out Bischoff and Hogan. So wouldn't the logical angle be that he'd be facing one of the Immortal guys so they could have the title and the power? No, he's fighting the two guys that want nothing to do with Immortal. So technically, RVD and Anderson are on the same page as Sting. Therefore, where is the rivalry or drama for this main event? I would not be surprised to see Anderson turn even though Immortal put him through the Gauntlet match this week because that would be right up TNA's alley.

I know Sting is really motivated to have a great match this Sunday following the horrendous finish to ‘Victory Road’ but it’s a tall order with these three coming together for a main event match. Anderson and Van Dam had a very difficult time gelling last month and featured a very flat finish with the double countout and with Sting’s pre-existing injuries hampering him, Anderson and Van Dam are going to be relied on for the bulk of the work. The build up for this match has been perplexing with Anderson booked so inconsistently as a babyface and a heel and had no momentum in my opinion, they are teasing Van Dam taking the title and going to Immortal and the ‘go-home’ show featured Sting building up a match with Hulk Hogan rather than putting the significance of this match over. I’m going out on the limb that Van Dam gets the title on Sunday night with the push to tune into ‘Impact’ to find out if he will join Immortal.

With the popularity of "The Wrestler" in theaters a couple years ago, I thought it would be a good idea to write something about a wrestler with a story worthy of a Hollywood movie.

The lives of professional wrestlers are filled with more drama than most soap operas, and some of the most famous superstars of the past and present also have the most interesting stories in their real lives.

Biopics are some of the most successful movies in terms of awards and critical acclaim, and some pro wrestlers have just of an interesting back story as any musician or athlete, if not more so.

The story of Shawn Michaels is as intriguing and dramatic as anyone out there.  To go from one of the biggest high school football players on his team to being one of the smallest guys in wrestling is a big transition to make.

Shawn began wrestling at a very young age, and from the start he had the odds stacked against him.  In the 80’s wrestling was a big man's game.  Guys like Hulk Hogan and Billy Graham were the top dogs due to their massive physiques.

Shawn used his size to his advantage and began utilizing high flying moves to attract the crowd’s attention.  In a time when going to the top rope more than once a match was rare in America, Shawn was doing moonsaults, elbow drops and drop kicks from the top turnbuckle on a regular basis.

One memorable quote was from Ric Flair’s Hall of Fame speech.  He said when his son was young he said his favorite wrestler was Shawn Michaels because he could do a moonsault, Ric could not, and because of that he said Shawn was the better wrestler.

This may have been just a small bit of why Ric held Shawn in such high respect, but coming from Ric Flair that is like praise from Caesar.

Shortly after Shawn started wrestling he was paired up with someone with more veteran knowledge, as well as another high flyer in Marty Jannetty.  The two formed the highly popular tag team The Rockers. 

Shawn and Marty would get noticed for their acrobatic moves by then WWF officials, and were given a contract.  There is debate as to the exact story, but not long into their contract Shawn and Marty were supposedly fired for a bar fight, but rehired not long after.

Soon it became clear that Shawn was the standout of the two wrestlers.  WWF decided to turn Shawn heel and have him turn on Marty in one of the most famous segments in WWE history.  It was during an episode of The Barber Shop, Brutus Beefcake’s interview show.

Shawn made it seem as if he had made up with Marty, then proceeded to Super kick him and throw him through the barber shop window.  This moment is where it all started for Shawn.

He became a cocky heel who would use his superior speed and dirty tactics to win matches.  He adopted the persona of a self obsessed pretty boy who would be accompanied to the ring by a large mirror so he could check his hair and looks before his matches. 

This cocky attitude made Shawn one of WWF’s most hated heels of the time.  Eventually Shawn was paired with Sensational Sherri, a legend in her own right.  The two became one of the most magnetic pairings in wrestling history.  Sherri managed Shawn to become the Intercontinental Champion.

As the IC champion Shawn became the WWF’s workhorse.  He would often perform the best match of the night with whoever he was facing.  Memorable feuds include Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty, his former partner.

As time went on Shawn became more and more innovative with his matches.  He is credited with bringing ladder matches into the mainstream by going against Razor Ramon at Wrestlemania X.  Even though he lost his performance in the match made him a star.

After teaming up with the new giant of WWF Diesel, Shawn became unstoppable.  The two dominated the tag team division, as well as the Intercontinental Championship.  Their real life friendship with each other and a couple of other wrestlers led to the formation of a group known as "The Cliq."

They became infamous for using their clout with management to book themselves into better matches and storylines.  The group included Sean Waltman, Scott Hall, Paul Levesque, and Nash and Michaels.

After Hall and Nash left WWF for the bigger paychecks of WCW, Paul (HHH) and Shawn formed a duo known as DX.  They went on to become the most popular stable in WWF history.  Their censor inducing antics brought in a whole new crop of wrestling fans.

Once Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and X-Pac joined the crew, they became untouchable.  They even went as far as to run a full on assault with a military vehicle and bullhorn on a competing taping of Monday Nitro. 

Shawn was also involved in one of the most controversial and talked about events in the history of wrestling, the "Montreal Screw Job."  Vince McMahon plotted against his exiting Champion Bret Hart by ending the title match early and awarding Shawn the Title. 

The incident turned Vince into a real life villain for WWF fans.  As the genius he is, Vince capitalized on the Mr. McMahon persona and became a maniacal villain hell bent on profits.

Shawn would eventually suffer a though to be career ending injury during a WWF Pay per View.  His back injury forced him into early retirement.  Shawn would not be seen in a wrestling capacity again for around four years. 

He returned to face his real life best friend Triple H.  The match was hyped as the return of one of the best wrestlers in the history of the business.  Shawn would not disappoint fans as he and Hunter performed and incredible match together.

Shawn knew after that match that he could no longer sit on the sidelines.  He made the decision to return to full time wrestling, and shortly after returning he won the World Heavyweight Championship in a "Hell in the Cell" match.

Over the next six years Michaels created some of the best moments in wrestling.  He reformed DX with hunter a couple of times, ended the WWE career of Ric Flair and retired after losing to the Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI.

Shawn’s in ring career is as interesting as any, but his life outside the ring is just as interesting.  Shawn became involved with drugs and alcohol and was at one point one of the more hated guys in the locker room.

After retiring from injury, Shawn found religion and embarked on speaking engagements to various churches around the country, sometimes teaming up with Steve Borden, otherwise known as Sting, another known Christian wrestler.

Shawn married his current wife and had two kids, and made the right decision to retire while he was still healthy in order to see them grow up. 

His legacy and impact on the business is undeniable, and while some people may not like Shawn due to incidents in the past, many think of him as an inspiration. 

Shawn Michaels proved that even if everyone tells you you’re too small, you can prove them wrong.  He proved that you can overcome addiction and injury to come back even better than you left, and he proved that even if you have made a million mistakes, there is always time to make up for them.

Shawn had a moment where he and Bret Hart had a confrontation in the ring after more than ten years from the "Montreal Screw Job."  Shawn and Bret had both had bad words for the other in the press during those years, but after both men had suffered and prevailed from near crippling injuries, they decided it was time to bury the proverbial hatchet.

Bret had returned to WWE after ten years of bad blood.  Vince and Bret had made up and Bret was inducted into the Hall of Fame.  Shortly after Bret agreed to do some appearances and matches for WWE in a part time capacity.

One thing that everyone knew would have to be addressed was the bad blood between Shawn and Bret.  They decided to do it in the ring.  The real story behind the confrontation is that while there was a general outline of what would happen, Shawn and Bret were told to say what they really felt.  The two men had little contact before the in ring segment to make it more realistic.

Shawn and Bret said their peace, shook hand and hugged in the ring.  The fans cheered, but Shawn said that when that moment happened, he felt a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.  These two men showed the world that forgiveness is possible.

Shawn Michaels is now living his life with his wife and kids.  He makes numerous charity and church appearances, and occasionally returns to WWE TV to help out his old friends.

His story is truly one of a man who accomplished his dreams, fell from grace, and clawed his way back to the top through grit and determination.  He turned his life around and found happiness, and what more of a happy ending could one ask for from the most dramatic life story in wrestling?

Rumors Surround A Possible Hulk Hogan Appearance At TNA Lockdown This Sunday

Hulk Hogan is a relic. There’s no other way to say it. There’s no nice way to say it. He’s a 58-year-old man that just had very serious back surgery, and can barely walk upright because of all the physical problems that he has had in recent years.

But, Hogan is also a professional wrestler. No matter how much pain they are in, no matter how much damage their bodies have taken throughout their careers they always come back.

That’s why it was no surprise to find this nugget of information from PWTorch.com:

There have been rumblings that Hulk Hogan was/is seriously considering the idea of returning to the ring for the Lethal Lockdown match at Sunday’s Lockdown pay-per-view. The talk was that if Hogan felt up to wrestling, it would be turned into a five-on-five match with A.J. Styles returning for the other team. The assumption was that the idea has been scrapped since it hasn’t been promoted or teased on Impact.

 I am grateful that the idea is assumed to have been scrapped because Hogan has no business working in a wrestling ring. I understand that the fans love him. I understand that TNA has no desire to move forward with young, good talent. I understand that Hogan might pop a number for the company one time.

But his body is a mess. He can’t do anything. It’s just sad to see him get in the ring, the same way that it’s sad to see Ric Flair still in the ring taking bumps.

I can only hope that Hogan came to his senses and decided against working at Lethal Lockdown or any other match in the future. Since this is TNA, that’s most likely not the case. In fact, as I write this I wouldn’t be shocked to hear that he is going to be involved in an angle to set up a match.

I hope Hogan doesn’t wrestle again, but I know that he is going to.

“What I said last night should not be taken literally.  My actions were out of frustration during the heat of the game, period,” Bryant said in the statement.

Hulk Hogan Crosses The Line By Questioning Edge's Toughness Because Of His WWE Retirement

On Raw this past week, Edge gave a heartfelt, very emotional speech and told the world that he had to retire because he was battling serious health problems. These problems stem from a spinal fusion surgery that he had in 2003.

After Edge cut the promo, he walked to back and the fans were shown all the wrestlers lined up in the back giving him a round of applause as he shook hands and hugged them. It was a very nice moment under very difficult circumstances.

However, not everyone was buying into this moment for Edge. Specifically, Hulk Hogan didn’t hold back his feelings on Edge’s retirement by posting numerous nonsensical lines on his twitter page.

Here’s what he wrote:

"If any of the guys like me, Flair, Hardy, Andre, AA, Blanchard, Orndoff, Henning would have listened to doctors we would have quit 15 yrs ago. But I don't know Edge’s working environment because they are a media company not a wrestling company."

Hogan is a worker, probably the best in the history of the business, but to basically Edge soft or weak for walking away now, while he can still walk, is completely stupid. He needs to shut his mouth in this instance.

If you watch Hogan, he can barely walk anymore because he didn’t have doctors or people telling him to get out while he still can.

Hogan did try to back off his remarks later on:

"I'm not saying anything bad about Edge but he's a real wrestler, Stone Cold and Cena had neck surgery and u couldn't stop em, or Edge it's in Edges blood, he lives for this business he's a real wrestler, he a lifer, he's one of the real boys, he's hard to hold down, that's all.”

Hogan knows what he said is stupid and, despite his best efforts, he completely put his foot in his mouth on this one.

It’s a good thing that Edge listened to the doctors. Now, he can still maintain his quality of life and not have to worry about being in a wheelchair forever.

WWE News Is Still Buzzing about Edge's Retirement As Hulk Hogan Opens His Big Mouth

When Edge retired on Raw this Monday, it sent shockwaves through the WWE and the wrestling world.

There was plenty of reaction, most of it sadness and disappointment that it had to end this way for such a talented performer, but leave it to Hulk Hogan to come in, open his big mouth and say something stupid.

Hogan went to Twitter, where he commented on the situation.

Naturally, when you question Edge's toughness after it's revealed that he could have died if he continued to wrestle, you're going to get some negative comments, and it forced Hogan to respond to his insensitive and stupid remarks.

I wish Hogan would just keep quiet and realized that he's washed up. This isn't the first sideways shot he's taken at WWE or its stars on his Twitter account and him talking slick is finally getting him in hot water.

Hogan should have retired years ago, and him dragging his broken carcass out to the ring for a sub-par company is doing nothing but tarnishing a great legacy. The difference between Edge and Hogan is that the former had the sense to get out when he still had his health.

The Hulkster has turned into nothing more than a spotlight chaser, trying to hang on to what little shreds of fame he still has. You don't question a man with a serious neck injury without knowing all of the details. Edge returned after having vertebrae fused in his neck and wrestled until he almost paralyzed himself and Hogan has the nerve to question him on Twitter.

Hogan's a legend, but he's delusional and needs to realize what he's become before it's too late.

Today in "This is an actual, real-life news story" comes this gem of an article from The Hollywood Reporter: Hulk Hogan has signed on to mentor little-people wrestlers for a new TruTV series called 'Hulk Hogan's MCW.'

The new professional league that Hogan is creating, Micro Championship Wrestling, "aims to 'show the world that little people are serious athletes who have the determination to succeed,'" according to THR. Hogan will be involved in recruitment, training, mentoring and establishing the league as a viable business.

TruTV has ordered six episodes of the new show, which is scheduled to premiere this summer. Hogan is an executive producer on the series.

What does Hogan have to say...

The Paul Ryans of the world would like to further separate the middle class from their meager savings. Why? Mainly because he can’t overcome his political ideologies and has become convinced (thru a misguided understanding of our monetary system) that America is bankrupt. Of course, that didn’t stop him from asking for a tax cut for the rich in December, but hey – what else is new? The little guy has been getting the short end of the stick (due in large part to the Paul Ryans of the world) for the better part of the last 20 years.

I’ve tried to keep my mouth shut about Ryan in recent weeks, but the never ending press coverage he is receiving over this “bold” and “courageous” (insanely misguided in my opinion) plan has made that pretty difficult. To think that this man (who lacks even the most basic understanding of monetary systems) is the Chairman of the House Budget Committee, is not only embarrassing for America, but a horrifying reality. He knows this plan will never pass, but that hasn’t stopped him from using his position of power to feed his fear mongering message about the USA’s imminent bankruptcy. From a political perspective, Mr. Ryan’s plan is brilliant. Just look at all the publicity he is getting. But like the typical self serving politician, the plan is a total disaster for America.

Just what does Paul Ryan want for America? In an effort to keep us from turning into Greece (which is a ridiculous and naive concern) Mr. Ryan believes we should follow their path into the land of Austeria. We know exactly what the land of austerity looks like. After all, Ireland took the “bold” and “courageous” step of austerity in the midst of a balance sheet recession almost three years ago. They’re on the brink of utter economic ruin. Greece followed their lead. And Portugal. And Spain. We are all familiar with the disaster that is those economies. And now the evidence is beginning to roll in that the UK is falling back into the economic hole. Here’s the latest from CNBC on the UK economy:

“British retail sales fell at their fastest annual pace in nearly six years and house prices slipped in March, surveys showed on Tuesday, underlining the fragile state of the UK economic recovery.

Britain’s GDP shrank at the end of 2010 and growth this year is expected to be modest as public spending cuts, tax rises and high unemployment take their toll on consumer confidence.”

This is not even the least bit surprising to many of us who were long ago talking about the mistake the UK was making via austerity. This currency issuer has convinced themselves that they are at risk of becoming Greece. It would be funny if it wasn’t imposing so much hardship on so many people. I said long ago and I’ll say it again – David Cameron is suplexing the UK economy like Hulk Hogan on steroids.

The land of Austeria sounds like a fun place doesn’t it? It’s a land where the poor get poorer, the unemployed go homeless and the banks get a government bailout on taxpayer dime. That’s the America Paul Ryan wants for us all. He wants to crush the middle class, steal their Medicare payments and pass them along to his wealthy friends. All in the name of stopping a Federal bankruptcy that is monetarily IMPOSSIBLE!

Paul Ryan has had enough TV time in recent weeks. It’s time for him and his friends to wake up to the economic reality around us. The global economy is suffering the largest balance sheet recession since the Great Depression. And the only thing keeping this from turning into a true Depression is the fact that Paul Ryan and his friends were told to take a hike when they last demanded that the average American needed to receive less aid from the government. Yes, the Alan Greenspan’s and Paul Ryan’s of the world were wrong when they tried to talk us over the edge of the cliff in 2009 and 2010.

The math here is relatively simple. With the household sector de-leveraging in the USA and the country running a -3.5% current account deficit the only thing keeping this economy from sinking into recession is the 10% budget deficit. This is allowing the private sector to save exactly 6.5% of GDP. As the chart below shows, this is an accounting identity. If Mr. Ryan had it his way we would be running a budget surplus currently and the private sector would be deeper in the red than we were leading up to the current crisis. Of course, Mr. Ryan doesn’t understand sectoral balances and the way that a modern monetary system functions so it’s not surprising that he believes the government needs to save in order to spend. As you can see, that wasn’t the case during the post war era when the US government was always in deficit and the private sector was always in surplus. Yes, it’s not a coincidence that those were some of America’s very best years.

The current budget deficit is much needed at a time when unemployment is high and private sector debt burdens remain staggering. Make no mistake – this is not your average recession. If this were 1981 or 1991 I would not be so apologetic for the government’s largesse. But it really is different this time. As Richard Koo has so often reminded us, a balance sheet recession really does mean “it’s different this time”. And for those who don’t trust the math look no further than Europe where they are cutting budget deficits and their economies are sinking deeper and deeper into a hole. Is that really what we want for America?

By constantly comparing us to European nations (a sure sign that Mr. Ryan is a political fear mongerer and nothing more), the Chairman of the House Budget Committee has proven (without a shadow of a doubt) that he does not even come close to understanding the plight of the US economy. And because of that he continues to peddle the same neoliberal nonsense that helped get America into this mess in the first place. It is bad economics and it is even worse for the future of this country.

I apologize for the rant-like note, but the state of America is sad right now and the last thing we need is a politician posing as a financial guru telling Americans that they need to suffer more. Mr. Ryan clearly doesn’t understand that the government is a tool that is to be used by the private sector to further the prosperity of the private sector – NOT to benefit at its expense. Scaring a currency issuer into thinking that it might run out of money is like scaring yourself into thinking that the air might run out of oxygen. The entire idea is nonsensical. If Mr. Ryan knew what he was talking about he would at least be trying to scare us into believing that hyperinflation is right around the corner (of course, that would be nonsensical also, but at least it would prove he knew what he was talking about).

If Americans knew any better (why should they understand this stuff when people of such power clearly don’t?) they would kick Paul Ryan out of Congress so fast he wouldn’t know what hit him. But this is the state of US economics and politics today. While millions are unemployed our leaders are worried about debt ceilings that do not matter at all (that’s right, that whole debate is 100% politics as well) and the best way to incite anger in a population that knows less about economics than the people running the show. Our country has become dominated by ideologues and political sideshows. And we are all worse off because of it.

**We start off the unfortunate news that Alex Whybrow, who was better known as ‘Larry Sweeney’ passed away Sunday at the age of 29 after committing suicide. Sweeney was one of the most talented mouth pieces on the independent scene especially from the time period of 2006-08 where he was featured in Ring of Honor, CHIKARA and numerous other promotions. I first saw Sweeney in 2006 at a UWA show in Mississauga, Ontario and it was a Friday night and the following Monday he on ‘Raw’ in a skit playing Nick Hogan when the WWE was pushing the Hulk Hogan Vs Randy Orton match for that year’s ‘SummerSlam’. His promos were top notch and in another era he would have been a main event manager with a stable of heels in one of the top organizations and lots of comparisons were draw to Bobby Heenan, which is the highest praise any aspiring talent can be given. Sweeney had his issues suffering from bipolar disorder and led to his exit from Ring of Honor in 2008. We were fortunate enough to have Sweeney on The LAW back in 2008 and was such a humble guy when I spoke with him on the phone and as I recall was taken aback by the introduction we gave him as Dan Lovranski was a big fan of his work.

Hulk Hogan Talks About Steroid Use In Autobiography, Is He Right To Call Himself A Hypocrite?

Hulk Hogan is an icon in the world of professional wrestling.

Hogan is the man who revolutionized the sport and became the first global icon the industry ever had.

While he wasn't the best wrestler to ever step foot in the ring, the man was one of the best talkers in the history of the business and furthermore, a physical specimen if there ever was one. Hogan was musclebound and his flexing became a staple of his character, along with ripping his t-shirt to shreds.

However, anyone in the know knew that those 24-inch pythons weren't natural. Hogan talks about this in his latest autobiography.

Per Greg Oliver of Slam! Wrestling:

"It's also weird to think about the fact that I was doing all of this -- and the steroids -- while telling all of my young fans week after week, 'Train, say your prayers, and take your vitamins.' That line was like my own Bob Barker catchphrase. I threw that sentiment out into the world day after day. Not that there's anything wrong with that message. It's a great message. It was just a little bit hypocritical that my activities behind the scenes didn't match the role-model persona I was putting out there," Hogan writes. "I'm glad I did it, though. Putting that kind of positive message out there to millions of kids is one of the least self-centered things I did in all those years. I put it right up there with visiting kids for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other charity work I did. Throwing that kind of positive vibe out into the universe can only bring positive things in return."

 

Like anything Hogan says, there is a need to briefly consider whether he's working you or not, whether he's told the story so many times that he believes that it truly happened that way.

 

And that's not meant as a criticism, or at least not much of one. When one considers the abuse of his body, the blows to the head, the wear and tear of the travel, I can forgive the fact that he's forgotten things, or taken the easy way out.

 

Hogan's right that it's a positive message to send to children, but the major problem with the Hulkster's views is that he preached this lifestyle while subtly implying that Hogan's physique and strength was a possibility if all you did was work hard and take care of your body.

 

That's where Hogan loses me and loses some of his credibility. While he thinks it's one of the best things he's done, I see it as a misnomer, a lie that he was propagating to the public and the youth around the world.

 

Kids looked up to him and wanted to be as big and strong as the Hulkster. It's a bit of a joke that he would somehow twist his steroid use and drug-inflated physique and pass off his mantra of clean living off as a great thing, despite the hypocrisy that he openly acknowledges.

 

Hogan was a legend in the ring, but he's no role model.

The Simmons - A&E's Gene Simmons Family Jewels follows the life of KISS bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons, longtime lover Shannon Tweed and their kids, Nick and Sophie. The tongue-wagging rock star and the former Playmate of the Year are far from your normal parents and have no intention of getting married, but despite their eccentricities Gene still brings Gatorade to his daughter's soccer games and stands on the front row of his son's concerts.
