Last year around this time I compiled a list of albums released in 1969 that would be celebrating their 40th Anniversary in 2009. So, as we come up to 2010, I've decided to compile the list of releases from 1970. Phew! There was certainly a heck of a lot of good (or at least interesting) stuff issued in 1970. Below is a list of approximately 350 LPs released in 1970. The list concentrates on rock and pop releases but also includes a few notable recordings of jazz, blues, country etc... Is this list complete? No way. Is it accurate? As accurate as I could be. The information was collected from a few different sources. Of course, some things were released at different times in different countries (i.e. Jack Bruce - Things We Like was released in 1970 in the UK and 1971 in the US). Any corrections or important additions are welcome. I've put quite a bit of time into compiling this list.
