"It was a very special night at Ground Zero and I will always remember being a part of it," wrote Politico senior editor Gregg Birnbaum to the Observer. He was explaining the picture of him wearing a "Duh, winning" Charlie Sheen T-shirt at Ground Zero, where he'd gathered with other chearing crowds in New York after hearing about Osama bin Laden's death.
He said that despite the fact they were celebrating someone's death, the event was more about reflection than bloodlust for him. "The most moving part of the evening was when a spontaneous moment of silence quieted us, hands were raised silently in the air flashing the victory sign, and for 60 seconds we honored the 9/11 families," he wrote. "The silence ended with chants of 'USA! USA!' Who could forget a night like that?"

It is another cog in the machine that inundates us with information. We are merely watching it come of age. And, if we're smart, we're listening. Business Insider may have declared Sunday ni ...
