Classic horror fans get ready! NECA has announced via their official Twitter that they have managed to get a hold of the license for Evil Dead. Yes, that's right. All the Ash-wielding-a-chainsaw action you could want! Of course that means an Ash figure is guaranteed, along with (I'd imagine) several zombies, and probably a Necronomicon accessory!

The cool part? You won't have to wait very long to get an eyeful of what's to come. Apparently NECA intends to show their first Ash prototype from Evil Dead II at this year's San Diego Comic Con! There are no further details as of yet, so I ask you: what would you want from an Evil Dead line? I'm not a huge fan of the more "mystical" zombie lore, preferring instead horrible diseases and chemical disaster to explain my undead, so I'm curious as to what true fans would want.

This week Mattel put their newly announced San Diego Comic Con 2011 exclusives on display at ‘The Comic Bug‘ comic book shop in Manhattan Beach, Ca.  That shop is my local comic book shop, so Wednesday when I stopped by to pick up my books I shot some video and took a bunch of pictures. [...]

The header image is the very happy nine-inch Vinylmation figure I mean by the post title. It was designed by Eric Caszatt (also designed "Have a Laugh" series) who in a statement said he wanted to go with something really psychedelic, and just "let the creative process take over". The result is very adorable, has a size of 600 figures and will run you US$39.95 if you were to purchase one. 

The rest of the figures are pretty neat, too, and actually all cost the same, US$39.95. The cave man-looking one was designed by Doug Strayer and its size is 800. Also running with 800 is the lightbulb design by Susanna. The other one with the white background and colorful design on top was designed by Paola Gutierrez and will be an edition size of just 600 like the happy one above.

Again, these drop on May 20 and will be at the D-Street at Downtown Disney locations as well as on-line. Any thoughts on the designs of these four nine-inch figures?

I became a hardcore Questioners fan the day I saw the original Alice in Neverland resin, and they've never failed to disappoint since. For further proof, see the gallery of this stunning Witch Girl, which is now open for pre-order and slated for an August release.

If you've had eagle eyes, you might have spotted a tweet from Kidrobot a day or so ago teasing a new 8" Dunny from Huck Gee. Perhaps you were excited and waiting to be surprised. But nope, SpankyStokes had to go and spoil the surprise, revealing that there are actually four 8" Dunnys as part of the "Day and Night" Raku series. Somehow, he managed to get the info and a picture out there before Kidrobot sent them out to everyone else *shakes fist* but I guess I can't complain too much, because these are cool little figures.

The latest in Huck's more Asian-inspired designs, the four Raku Dunnys are coming on May 26 and each one is going to be US$100. The little raccoon ninjas and warriors come with some very cool accessories, and with runs of 500 pieces per Dunny, this is a heck of a lot cheaper and easier to get than trying to fight over one of Huck's more expensive customs.

The catch is, though, that you'll have to do a bit of work to nab all four: The Red Raku Dunnys are only going to be sold at Kidrobot stores and kidrobot.com, while the Black Raku Dunnys will be the ones available at the specialty retailers. You've got 3 weeks to start saving up and figuring out a plan!

It may not be a toy, but I can 100% say the first thing I thought when I saw this amazing design was, 'I hope I can get a shirt of this!' My answer? Yes, yes you can! This amazing Steampunk Sonic was designed by Vincent Bocognoti a.k.a vintz.

The small bit written about the design is just as awesome as the design itself. It reads: 'You are my finest creation, my living legacy; made of nuts and bolts and yet full of compassion, a hero for the ages. Go now! Unleash the unimaginable speed which is your birthright, and reclaim the rings of power that our evil robotic foe has scattered across the land.'

If you're in the New York City area next weekend, you are in for a real treat. We got some previews from myplasticheart today for their upcoming Ghost in the Machine show, and it loks absolutely fantastic. This is the same show that we showed you the exclusive J*RYU teaser from, using the Matt Siren Ghost Girl as a base. In fact, all the aritst involved in this show will be using the same platform, and these teasers already make us expect spectacular results.

The artist list includes Chris Ryniak, Wheelbarrow, J*RYU and Brent Nolasco as shown in the gallery, along with 64 Colours, Dril One, Marka27, Lou Pimental, Julie West and many more. A while back, Tyler introduced knittingdreams, a knitter/crocheter based in Spain. I thought her cute bears were amazing, so I picked up my favorite, Mikun. He arrived recently, and he is just the cutest thing! Hit the jump for some adorable bear spam.

Daily Graffiti: Gameboyone (interviewed by us HERE) drops an all new piece and, this time, instead of using sprites from an old game, she’s thrown up an entirely original 8-bit spaceship that she designed.

Awesome piece. The more I look at it, the more it looks like it’d make a sweet tattoo.

Daily Geekstomization: This custom Shy Guy action figure by John D. Mallamas is like something straight outta Resident Evil. This custom is up on Ebay with a current bid of over $60. There’s three days left to bid and you can check it out HERE if you’re interested.

Stussy x Marvel Series 2 tees are up for sale at Stussy.com and each one comes with a pack of collectible cards featuring Marvel characters drawn by different artists. Some of the designs are meh, but some others like the Mystique tee, Dr. Strange tee, Eternity tee, and Crystal & Johnny tee are pretty fresh.

1-bit Ninja for iOS looks pretty effin’ awesome. Aside from awesome Game Boy-ish graphics and a sweet soundtrack, the game only has two controls: run, and jump. That’s it. This means you can only go forward, so if you missed some coins and want to go back, you’re S.O.L.

But the real kicker with 1bit Ninja is that you can touch the screen to move the camera, revealing a 3rd dimension with secret paths.

I'll admit, I have not played a single second of any of the Touhou Project games. However, I adore the character designs enough that I have purchased quite a few figures from the series. Heck, I even have a Dollfie of Marisa! As such, I always like to see what GK makers do with figures, and they often get to characters that PVC makers skim over. I mean, Touhou has roughly 5 billion characters, it will take a while for Griffon to make them all!

There were some really superb kits on display at Treasure Festa, including a dynamic Alice, Cirno in a bathing suit, a tiny poseable Youmu, and chibified versions of Remilia and Kanako. My favorite, though, has to be the deliciously punk version of Sakuya the combat maid. My god, I would buy that figure in a heartbeat! Like many folks out there, I enjoy clever steampunk designs when I find them. Lucky for me, Weta's line of Dr. Gordbort-branded laser guns bring that awesome aesthetic every time with excellent production values. This time around, Dr. Gordbot brings us the Saboteur 66 - Ultra Wave Equaliser. As usual, it brings designer Greg Broadmore's excellent design into the third dimentions with a ton of tiny details that reward observant eyes. That detail will cost you USD $89.99 and it comes out in June/July 2011. They're also selling a poster with all of their designs, including old and possibly future designs, which will set you back USD $13.99.

Now she has all kinds of new projects going, including the launch of the brand new Tanpopo and Kuro website. Stay with us, folks, because there's a lot of cool stuff from the recent Treasure Festa in Ariake 5 left over. Much of it is either original creations or light novel material that we haven't seen before, though there is a bit of Fate material thrown in for good measure.

There's an awful lot of variety, and I particularly like the glowing lady in the jar, the pretty lady in the Chinese dress, and the girl decked out in all the Hello Kitty stuff. The skeletons are kind of cool, though you may need to take an extra look at them to notice an odd accessory they have. What cool stuff catches your eye?

Another week has passed, and ... well ... you know this by now: yet another sneak peek of a custom Cavey for the Cavey Birthday show has popped up on the Hey Cavey website. This time, the artist is Sneaky Raccoon, who's created this little fellow named Sneaky Munchin. According to Holly, this little fellow has a very elaborate design on both the front and the back ... looking forward to seeing the whole thing!
